Dr. Clark, a long-time advocate for the environment and renewable energy,
is an internationally recognized author, lecturer and advisor specializing
in creating and doing the due diligence for sustainable communities. He founded Clark
Communications in 1980 and then in 2004, Clark Strategic Partners (CSP).
In December 2007, Dr. Clark was a co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, along with his
colleagues of United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and Al Gore’s
documentary. He is author of five books, including Agile Energy Systems (2004) and
Qualitative Economics (2008). Two of his books concern Sustainable Communities
(Springer Press, December 2009) and Sustainable Communities Design Handbook
(Elsevier Press, June 2010). Next is a series called Global Sustainable Communities
Design Handbook (due in 2012). His next book is The Third Industrial Revolution
(Praeger Press, winter 2011) and as Co-Editor and Author for a Special Issue of
Contemporary Economic Policy on “Global Cases in Energy, Environment, and Climate
Change: Some Challenges for the Field of Economics” in the winter of 2011.
He holds three separate MA degrees and his PhD is from University of California, Berkeley.
