Monte Silver and Steve Wasserman are both attorneys and businessman with significant experience in buying and selling their own businesses and in serving as legal counsel for clients selling businesses in the United States and around the world.

Monte Silver lived in Los Angeles 10 years and after finishing his education in the United States he opened a law first specializing in business transactions and litigation.  He represented many in the Israeli community, including several business and community leaders in the community. Monte returned to Israel 10 years ago and is active in the business and legal realm between Israel and Los Angeles.

Steve Wasserman is a successful attorney and businessman.  His firm, comprised of 40 attorneys, represents large and small clients alike in the United States, Israel and China.  He owns and has owned several businesses in areas including real estate and construction, import/export, and clothing/textile. 

The lecture will focus on various aspects of buying and selling a business, such as (1) preparing a business for sale, (2) establishing a price, the various models for payment, and how to secure the payment (3)  Due diligence, (4) tax issues, and (5) special considerations for returning Israelies.
